LANDESK Workspaces Delivers Modern Experience to Increase IT Productivity and Simplify User Management

New Interface Provides Unified View of LANDESK for IT, Leveraging Role-Driven Design

SALT LAKE CITY — May 19, 2015 —

LANDESK today launched LANDESK Workspaces, a new interface that unifies the user experience across multiple LANDESK offerings by creating a single place for professionals to interact with a company’s IT data, tools, assets and resources in the context of different roles. LANDESK Workspaces increases IT productivity by providing better access and contextual information to individuals with roles both inside and outside IT – whether they are solving problems for executive team members or for the end user.

“LANDESK Workspaces is the most intuitive experience IT has ever provided to empower people and increase productivity,” said Steve Morton, executive vice president and CMO at LANDESK. “We heard the requests of our customers to create an environment where they can access all of the tools and contextual data they need without requiring significant training. With their input in mind, we’ve taken a role-driven approach to design a user experience around the people who consume data and services from IT.”

With LANDESK Workspaces, users in myriad roles have the full power of Service Management, Systems Management and Asset Management tools at their fingertips — all from one unified interface. This interface provides a unified location for the data, tools, actions and resources specific to each role.

Greater autonomy for end users. Through LANDESK Workspaces, everyone in the organization can gain access to the resources they need — applications, assets, services and self-service — so they can get on with their tasks at hand.

Better visibility for IT managers. The Asset Manager Workspacedelivers true visibility for IT Managers with a customizable, info graphic-style dashboard that helps users visualize their ROI. At a glance, users can identify the assets they have and pinpoint their unused software so they can reclaim vital resources instantly.

Support for most devices. LANDESK Workspaces has been designed for Mac and Windows operating systems, Android and iPhone, using a responsive design to provide the same experience regardless of device. Users can also access LANDESK Workspaces as a portal through an HTML 5 enabled browser.

“Before LANDESK Workspaces, IT team members often encountered challenges when serving end-users, depending on access to the capabilities in various IT management consoles they use,” said Morton. “With LANDESK Workspaces, we’re giving people greater access to the capabilities they have at their disposal, all from one place. LANDESK Workspaces gives IT a more efficient way of solving the needs of users.”
